Meet our staff

The dental services are provided by a cadre of KCCDHN staff including:

Dr. Stacy Eastman, DDS

Dr. Eastman’s education began when she attended West Hills College in her home town of Coalinga. From there, she attended Cabrillo College where she earned an Associates of Arts Degree and a certificate in Dental Hygiene. After working as a hygienist for a few years, she attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo to complete her coursework for dental school. She then attended the University of Southern California, where she earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery.

Dr. Eastman is currently the director of the Kern County Children’s Dental Health Network (KCCDHN) which is a program that is funded by First 5 Kern. KCCDHN provides dental services to children 5 years of age and under at preschool and elementary schools throughout Kern County. Dr. Eastman was involved with the inception of the Kern County Children’s Health Network more than 20 years ago. In addition to being the Director of the Kern County Children’s Dental Health Network, she now enjoys private practice after more than 20 years of being a dental hygiene educator.

Dr. Eastman is an advocate for prevention of dental disease and is a current member of both the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Daniel Purdy, DMD

Dr. Daniel Purdy graduated from University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in History. He then continued with his education at the University of Louisville in Kentucky and received his D.M.D. In addition Dr. Daniel Purdy completed two years of post-doctorate training at U.C.L.A. where he received his certificate as a Pediatric Dental Specialist.

Prior to joining his father in their Bakersfield dental practice, Dr. Daniel Purdy spent two years as an associate in a large pediatric practice in Redding , California. Along with practicing in Bakersfield he recently has expanded his expertise and opened a new pediatric dental practice in Santa Barbara , California where he resides with his wife Meg Purdy. More…

Dr. Robert Bang, DDS

Corey Keathley, RDHAP
Born and raised in Bakersfield, Corey has thirty-eight years of experience in dentistry. First, working as a Registered Dental Assistant for five years then graduating from Colorado Northwestern Dental Hygiene Program in 1987. Thirty-three years as a Registered Dental Hygienist and one year as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice, she hit the ground running with a desire to meet the needs of the vulnerable and underserved population in Bakersfield. Corey is diligent in her pursuit to provide the community with her best care and treatment.

Lisa Farnsworth, RDHAP
Lisa is a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice. Lisa obtained her two licenses from Taft College and West LA College and has been happily practicing for 23 years.Lisa is passionate about delivering the highest level of patient care. It is Lisa’s goal to not only address any dental issues a child may have, but to also ensure the child feels comfortable and cared for during their dental exam and treatment. Lisa is a proud Mother/ Mother-in-Law to four incredible adults and ridiculously thrilled to be the grandmother of two amazing grandsons.

Esmeralda Garza, RDHAP
Esmeralda Garza’s career in the dental field began in 1997 as a dental assistant. She later attended and graduated from the Taft College Dental Hygiene Program in 2006 and then earned her license as a Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice in 2012. While in dental hygiene school Esmeralda participated in the Kern County Children’s Dental Health Networks (KCCDHN), school based dental services, as a part of her education. She enjoyed helping students understand the importance of good oral hygiene and later joined the KCCDHN. When she is not working in private practice or with KCCDHN she enjoys volunteering in hopes of helping more children have happy and health smiles!
