Richland Child Development Center

Richland Child Development Center is located in the heart of Shafter, a community that takes pride in family values and traditions. Richland Preschool commits itself to providing school readiness skills to young children from the community. In the Spring of 2016, Richland received a 5 star rating with the Kern Early Stars Quality Rating and Improvement System.

At Richland State Preschool, we provide services to 72 children ages 2 to 5 years old. We have a full day, 10 hour, preschool program for parents who are in training, working or attending classes. Space is limited to 24 children. We also operate a 3 hour a day, part day preschool program for parents who do not have a full time need. We have a morning and afternoon session. Parent involvement and participation of 2 days a month is a program expectation.

The best time to enroll is in spring, prior to the start of the school year, our spaces fill up quick.
