Each school in our district has a complete, updated and approved safety plan that meets the requirements of Education Code 32280 – 32289.
Each school’s plan was developed by a School Site Council (SSC) or a Safety Planning Committee.
Each school’s SSC/Safety Planning Committee consulted with a representative from a law enforcement agency in the writing/development of the comprehensive school safety plan.
Each school’s SSC/Safety Planning Committee held the required public meeting at the school site in order to allow members of the public the opportunity to express an opinion about the school safety plan.
Each school reviewed and updated their current plan on or before March 1 and forwarded it to the district superintendent/board of trustees for approval.
Each school has a procedure in place for conducting tactical responses to criminal incidents, for which all staff is trained on (AB 1747 mandate, effective January 1, 2019).
