Results announced for History Day

Students from schools across Kern County competed in the 38th annual Kern County History Day, which was held virtually this year. Judging was finalized on March 6 and individuals or groups who scored high enough in each category are now eligible to participate in the virtual California History Day in May.

Research for the county event had been going on since the beginning of the school year as students prepared historical papers, exhibits, performances, documentaries, and Websites designed around this year’s theme: Communication in History: The Key to Understanding.
