Equity in Education Resources
As advocates for children, KCSOS strives to bring educational equity to each and every child in Kern County. We define equity in education as follows:
Equity is ensuring educational environments employ a systemic approach through access, opportunities, and supports to: celebrate and value all students; raise achievement; narrow gaps; and eliminate the predictability of student outcomes on the basis of factors such as income, zip code, ethnicity, gender, language, and learning ability.
The resources provided can be used to expand your understanding of topics related to educational equity and to lead your district on its own equity journey.
