Mary M. Little – Area 3

First Elected: 1994

Ms. Little has resided in Bakersfield since 1974. She proudly raised her two daughters while attending college part-time. She worked as a Mental Health Specialist with KCEOC and then went on to a fulling and demanding career as a CPS Social Worker for 20 years. In addition to being a proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, she now works as a legal videographer and Social Security Advocate for disability cases on a part-time basis.

Ms. Little is passionate about her volunteer work, which is centered around helping people. In addition to her 28 years of service on the Board of Education, where she served as a Delegate Assembly Member with the California School Boards Association, Board member with Camp KEEP, and a member of the Kern Financing Committee, she has served as an Awana leader and director, a Lay counselor, and is active in civic and community issues.

Ms. Little is passionate about working collaboratively for effective governance and community engagement.
