Health and Nursing Services

These are health services prescribed by the child’s licensed physician and require medically related training of the individual who performs the services and which are necessary during the school day to enable the child to attend school. These services also include health issues that require nursing intervention beyond basic school health services. Services include managing the health problem, consulting with staff, group and individual counseling, making appropriate referrals, and maintaining communication with agencies and health care providers.
