Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (MAA) Program

The Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS) serves as the Local Educational Consortium (LEC) that contracts with the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to administer the Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (MAA) Program and the Random Moment Time Survey (RMTS).

The MAA Department is responsible for contracting with schools in Region 8 that wish to participate. The department ensures the proper administration of MAA and RMTS and works closely with districts to maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines.
