Fiscal Support

The Division of Fiscal Support is the financial resources link between the State of California and the public local educational agencies operating in Kern County. We are comprised of three programs: Internal Business Services, External Business Services and Medi-Cal Administrative Activities. Internal Business Services assists with the day-to-day management of our KCSOS operations. External Business Services provides multiple financial services to the public school districts and public charter schools that operate in Kern County. And Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (MAA) assist KCSOS, school districts, and charter schools with recovering funds through the MAA, Local Educational Agency, Billing Option Program, and Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative Fee Schedule programs.
