Operational Support

The Division of Operational Support provides essential services to KCSOS program and school district partners in the areas of facilities, maintenance, operations, transportation, technology, nutrition services, student data, and safety initiatives. By managing these critical areas, the division supports educators and students, fostering a safe, efficient, and conducive learning environment throughout Kern County.

The Facilities & Property Management Department supports LEAs with resources regarding all processes related to construction.

Food & Nutrition Services

The Food & Nutrition Services Department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students’ health, well-being, and their ability to learn.

Kern Integrated Data System (KiDS)

KiDS is a result of the commitment to sharing real-time student outcome data to assist all stakeholders in making informed decisions about what is best for students, teachers, and schools.

Maintenance & Operations

The Maintenance & Operations Department is responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning and upkeep of facilities, infrastructure, and equipment across Kern County.

Technology Services

The Technology Services Department is responsible for offering strategic IT vision and innovative solutions to support KCSOS divisions, districts, and partners.

Transportation Services

Transportation & Vehicle Maintenance has one goal: Safely transport Kern County Students. It is a joint effort that allows our team to complete the mission of the organization.

Safer Schools Coalition

The Safer Schools Coalition of Kern is a collaborative think-tank to promote the safety and well being of Kern’s schoolchildren.
