Lori Eskew was elected to represent Trustee Area 5 on the Kern County Board of Education in 2024.

Ms. Eskew is a Bakersfield native who dedicated her career to serving youth in the juvenile justice system as a Juvenile Corrections Officer with the Kern County Probation Department. As a mother and grandmother, Ms. Eskew is passionate about parental rights and is involved in advocacy work at the local level. She has always been deeply connected to her community, striving to make a positive difference.

Ms. Eskew and her husband Richard have played the role of Mr. & Mrs. Claus for over 20 years in Kern County, bringing joy to families during the Christmas season.
