Julie Beechinor Towse – Area 1

Mrs. Towse is currently the professor of Animal Science at Bakersfield College. She serves as the Faculty Lead for Early College and works directly with high schools teaching dual-enrollment courses.

Prior to teaching at Bakersfield College, Mrs. Towse taught Agriculture Science at Frontier High School for 15 years, where she started the Future Farmers of America which now serves over 450 students and has been recognized nationally for excellence. In 2012 Mrs. Towse was recognized at Kern County Teacher of the Year.

Mrs. Towse is a third-generation cattlewoman and has lived in Area 1 since 1982. She is involved in numerous local organizations, including the California Cattlemen’s Association, the Frontier High Ag Boosters, local ministry group Reflections, and the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.
