Find It, Be It Kern Campaign
February is National Career and Technical Education Month. Kern County Schools will be celebrating with a brand new interactive experience for the Kern County community of students, parents, and employers. With our annual Career Expo canceled this year, we are excited to offer local employers the opportunity to virtually share videos, handouts, and other materials on the new interactive experience web page.
Students and families will be able to watch videos, take quizzes, reach out to employers, and learn more about our region’s career opportunities.

The Kern County Superintendent of Schools has partnered with the Kern Community College District in a CAREER pathways improvement project that will support students enrolling and completing high school to college CAREER pathways. We’ve partnered with Full Capacity Marketing to develop a new outreach program for our communities designed to increase awareness and enroll middle school and high school students into aligned career education pathways. These career pathways are available in all Kern County high schools and the 14 colleges serving our region, including Bakersfield Community College,
Cerro Coso Community College and Taft College.
