Emergency Management

To assist Kern County Superintendent of Schools in maintaining a high level of safety in our schools and administrative sites, KCSOS applied for and received a U.S. Department of Education Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS) grant. This grant provides funds to review and strengthen our current emergency management process, provides resources for training staff on emergency management procedures, and requires that KCSOS update comprehensive all-hazards emergency management plans in collaboration with community partners.
