At no times, should any students be playing online games,<br \/>\nor have random web surfing time.<\/li>\n<li>Since we started this policy, spyware issues have gone down about 95% on student chromebooks. Also, there is much less discipline issues with students when they are not allowed to freely surf the web.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"border: 1px solid #ffffff\" width=\"4%\"><\/td>\n<td style=\"border: 1px solid #ffffff\" width=\"48%\"><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcc.gov\/consumers\/guides\/childrens-internet-protection-act\"><strong>CIPA<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nLEAs are required to have measures &amp; policies in place to protect students from obscene and harmful materials.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ftc.gov\/enforcement\/rules\/rulemaking-regulatory-reform-proceedings\/childrens-online-privacy-protection-rule\"><strong>COPPA<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nApplies to companies &amp; limits their ability to collect personal info for kids under 13. They must maintain the confidentially, security, &amp; integrity of information they collect.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.ed.gov\/policy\/gen\/guid\/fpco\/ferpa\/index.html\"><strong>FERPA<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nFERPA protects students&#8217; records &amp; gives parents the rights to view them. Schools will not post student identifiable information publicly online. Schools may disclose some directory information, post student work &amp; photos for public viewing but will not publish student last names or other personally identifiable information.
