Schools are poised to be able to open with relative normalcy this school year. With physical distancing no longer required, schools will return to fulltime, in-person instruction.
Masking in K-12 School Settings
The California Department of Public Health recently updated its K-12 Schools Guidance, which includes an indoor mask mandate for students and for adults when students are present. Per the CDPH, school districts are legally obligated to plan for and enforce the mask mandate. Individual school districts will communicate directly with parents about their expectations and practices as the new school year approaches. This graphic aims to help clarify when masks will be required for students and adults while in a K-12 school setting.
