The Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS) Credential Services is part of the Human Resources Department. Staff provide services to KCSOS and the 47 school districts located throughout Kern County. Services include the following:
- Process applications for teaching credentials through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC)
- Provide evaluation, counseling, and registration services for teachers
- Substitute Teacher Permit recommendations
- Issue Temporary County Certificates (TCC)
