2.2. State Reporting (SACS Software)
The SACS Software is released by the CDE in May of every year (SACS20XX) and is used to submit the next year’s budget. The software is updated usually at the end of June (SACS20XXALL) for the rest of the required state reportings. There can also be several updates to the validation tables and it is important to make sure that the validation tables are always up-to-date. These updates can be found on the CDE website.
Financial data is exported from QSS/QCC for each reporting period (more details in the reporting period sections). The data is then imported into the SACS software. Technical checks are performed on the data to make sure that the office financial data complies with SACS rules and regulations. Any errors must be corrected in QSS/QCC and then re-exported and imported into the SACS software. Once the data passes all technical checks it should be exported (unaudited actuals) and sent to District Advisory for submission to the State. First and Second Interim reports should be printed and approved by the Board, then mailed to the CDE.
