Although many factors affect the quality of care, the education and training of child care providers are important indicators of a high quality care setting. Community Connection for Child Care offers free and low-cost professional development opportunities and resources for child care professionals and parents. Take advantage of the continuing education opportunities from participating programs!

    All individuals over 1 year of age require a ticket.

    Both concerts will begin at 10:00 a.m.
    Doors open 9:15 a.m.
    Concerts are approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes

    PLEASE READ TICKETING PROCESS CAREFULLY FOR GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL TICKET PURCHASES.

    You may purchase tickets with cash, check, money order, or purchase order. Credit cards will not be accepted. Sorry, NO REFUNDS.

    Group Tickets

    Groups of 10 or more may reserve tickets in advance, but must be secured with a payment or purchase order within one month of the reservation.

    Group tickets may be reserved online (below) or purchased at the Larry E. Reider Center, 2000 K Street in Bakersfield.

    All reservations will be held for one month. Any unpaid tickets may be released for sale without notice. Unpaid reservations are not GUARANTEED.

    Individual Tickets

    Individual Tickets may be purchased at the Larry E. Reider Center, 2000 K Street in Bakersfield or at the door. Individual tickets will be available for purchase 3/2/2017.

    Ticket Receipts

    ONLY the original yellow carbon copy of ticket receipts will be accepted at the door. Photo copies of the receipt will not be accepted. If you lose your receipt, please call Shirelle Perez at (661) 861-5308 or email at shperez@kern.org.

    Seating

    Seating is on a first come first-served basis. PLEASE DO NOT SAVE SEATS.

    Greg & Steve Merchandise

    Greg and Steve merchandise will be available for purchase at the concerts. Checks or cash only will be accepted for merchandise purchases.

    Special accommodations can be made for children with special needs. If special arrangements are needed, please call Shirelle Perez at (661)861-5308 or email shperez@kern.org.

    CCCC Special request

    No video or flash photography at the concerts.
    Please do not bring food or drinks in the concert or on the facility grounds.

  • Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP)

    The Child Care Initiative Program (CCIP) is a program funded by the California Department of Education. The primary focus of the program is to increase the supply of quality licensed child care providers for infants and toddlers during traditional and non-traditional hours.

    CCIP offers training to individuals who are either interested in becoming a licensed family child care provider or is currently a licensed family child care providers. Trainings are provided to participants who would like to enhance their skills of providing quality child care, increase their capacity, or improve their business skills. CCIP training topics include the following:

    • Working with infants and toddlers
    • Growth and development
    • Working with parents
    • Building a successful business

    CCIP participants receive incentive packages of books, toys, equipment, and other items to assist participants with becoming successful. To be eligible for incentive packages, CCIP participants must complete a minimum of 25 hours of training.
