‘A Life at Risk’ suicide prevention
September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and the Kern County Network for Children (KCNC) is presenting a free public workshop on the subject called “A Life at Risk?”, on Sept. 7 from 8-10 a.m. in room US 1 at University Square, 2000 K Street in Bakersfield. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The workshop runs from 8:30-10 a.m. Those interested in attending should RSVP no later than Sept. 2 and pre-register online at http://www.kcnc.org/registration.
Theresa Marinas, behavioral health services director for Kaiser Permanente, Kern County, will conduct the workshop. Topics will include signs of risk, interventions and proposed actions.
